Did you know that 80% of a guinea pig’s diet should be high-quality hay? It’s essential for:
Healthy Teeth – Hay helps wear down their ever-growing teeth naturally. Good Digestion – The fibre keeps their gut working smoothly. Mental Stimulation – Foraging and chewing prevent boredom!

At Ashtead Pet Boarding & Guinea Pig Rescue we use top quality hay delivered in manageable boxes directly to our door from HayDayhq. Our mainstay is Moreish Meadow which is a wonderful blend of mixed grasses – excellent for bedding, burrowing, sleeping, playing and of course, eating! We also use soft Timothy hay on a daily basis. And to add enrichment we regularly sample different types of hay, dried forage and dried grass. The guineas adore their hay and enrichment!
