Surrendering Guinea Pig(s) If you are in the unfortunate position of needing to rehome your guinea pig(s) please complete the attached Surrender form and return it to me at ctear@ashteadpetboarding.co.uk, with photos and as much information about your situation as possible.
We aim to provide a non-judgemental rehoming service and will offer to help you as best we can. Please bear in mind that we are a small home-based Rescue and our facilities quickly become full. We have limited availability during school holiday periods, especially over the Summer period and operate a waiting list when we are busy.
Please be as honest and upfront about your guineas as possible so that we can give them the best care and find them suitable new homes. If they are showing aggressive behaviour towards each other and need to be separated, we need to know in advance to prepare the correct number of spaces!
We ask for a minimum donation of £20 to accept a guinea pig into the Rescue. An unneutered boar will cost the Rescue £95 (Apr 2023) to be castrated – a necessary procedure if they are to be found a safe new home with a sow or group of sows. Please consider contributing towards this when surrendering your guinea pigs.
